Millisecond Precision

Type exact start/end seconds with decimal precision — e.g. 12.75 for 12s 750ms.

No Re-encoding for Lossless Cut

When start/end align with keyframes, we copy streams without re-encoding — instant and lossless.

Tips for Accurate Cutting

Use decimal seconds

Type 90.5 to start at exactly 1 minute 30.5 seconds. The input accepts any decimal value.

Preview before cutting

Always click Preview Clip after adjusting handles — playback stops exactly at your end point.

Add a small buffer

Cut 0.1–0.2s before and after the exact moment to avoid accidentally clipping the first/last frame.

Keyframe alignment

For lossless cuts, try to align start times near scene changes where keyframes naturally occur.

Large files take longer

A 500MB video may take 1–2 minutes to process. Progress is shown in real time.

Re-cut from the output

If you need multiple clips, download the first cut and re-upload it to make a second cut.

Supported Video Formats

MP4
MOV
AVI
MKV
WebM
FLV
WMV
3GP
M4V
TS
MTS
VOB

Output is always MP4 (H.264 + AAC) for maximum compatibility across all devices and platforms.

Frequently Asked Questions

You can cut to millisecond precision by typing decimal values in the start/end time inputs (e.g. 45.375 for 45 seconds and 375ms). The visual handles snap to the nearest video frame.
For most cuts, we re-encode using high-quality H.264 settings (CRF 23). If you need truly lossless cuts, align your cut points to keyframes — our tool will detect these and use stream-copy mode when possible.
There is no limit on video duration — only the 500MB file size cap applies. Cutting a 2-hour video to a 10-second clip works perfectly.
Currently one clip is exported per operation. To extract multiple clips, download each one separately by re-uploading and selecting a different region each time.
Upload: MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV, WebM, FLV, WMV, 3GP, M4V, TS, MTS, VOB. Output is always MP4 for maximum compatibility.
FFmpeg cuts at the nearest keyframe to preserve quality. If your start or end point falls between keyframes (which occur every 2–5 seconds in most videos), the cut will be within one keyframe of your target time.
